Woodshed

Contrary to popular belief, there are still new cafes for me to visit. I was surfing the net, chanced upon Woodshed located in 204 Rangoon Road and decided to head down one Thursday evening. It was a 20 minute walk from Farrer Park, just down the stretch from Jewel Cafe.

I've seen photos of Woodshed once or twice on instagram, but nothing more than that. I remember thinking to myself that the door of Woodshed reminded me a lot of Windowsill Pies. When we stepped in, the place was empty and we were the only customers. The place was very nicely decorated, but immediately thoughts of whether the not-so-great quality of food was a reflection of the lack of crowd.

Boy, was I surprised.

The service was impeccable, the design of the place was beautiful, the big breakfast set was big enough and the fruity waffles were moist and had a hint of citrus. The truffle fries actually tasted like it had truffles. They also provide free wifi!
